Memoires and History

Writing up tapes recorded by my grandmother detailing her early life in South Africa, about apartheid and the work of her father who was a missionary. Her life as a pastors wife who had lost his first wife in childbirth (my mother was brought up by my grandmother although she was not her biological mother).

Her impressions of Africa as it changed, the violence, the compassion, the beauty and the ugliness of what she saw in her long life in South Africa.

Compiling notes and eventually producing a book for an elderly gentleman with his memories of life in the Middle East and Egypt in the 1950's and his career opening up various branches of the Ottoman Bank in Africa and the Middle East
